My cat honey bunny got startled xmas eve and ran into some trophies. Has hurt her back leg. The vet xrayed her yesterday and said her ball? wasn't exactly right in the socket now, but he didn't bring up surgery. Said she'd have trouble from now on and that arthritis had already set in. Its been a week. She actually is limping and having alot more trouble walking now since her xray. Could they have made it worse by stretching her legs for the xray? They gave her a cortisone shot. Said it would last a month. Nothing else. I am going over to talk to the vet again Monday. What do you think? Donna

Hmmmm... If it wasn't in the socket completely why didn't they try to "reduce" it (meaning put it back in and wrap it - usually wraps stay on for a few weeks and then they get removed and re-xrayed.)

Thanks. I'm going to be in the town where the vet who saw her is tomorrow morning. The cat won't be with me then. I am asking him a new set of questions. If they need to see the cat again, I can go get her. If what they tell me doesn't make sense or if they don't have some plan I will be taking her somewhere else that afternoon. She isn't getting out of the chair except to eat. I've been carrying her to the litter box, bringing her food and water to her chair. This isn't normal. I can pick her up and she doesn't fuss like I am hurting her. Hopefully I will know more tomorrow. Money wise this is a very bad time for this but I'll deal with it. Donna
