I finally took 15 minutes to build a website with iVillage's express website builder!

Basically it's just a place to put a picture of my Tasha for you all to see - without spending $30 US to upgrade so I could attach pictures. Anyway, here she is:

By the way, this picture was taken only a couple of weeks after we got her, so she still had the ringworm (you can see her front legs are mostly bald).

Great job! It's fun to do a webpage to show off our babies! Tasha is beautiful. I almost adopted a tortie that was in the cage next to Tillie. But when I picked Tillie up, she curled up in the bend of my arm and began to purr. The rest is history!

Keep up the good work! It's always fun to see pictures of the kitties we hear so much about on the board!

Thanks! She caught my attention immediately when I saw her at the shelter. She's just gorgeous!

Yup, that Ringworm is nasty stuff. I feel very lucky that I didn't catch it from her - I picked her up and cuddled her anyway. I'd just brought her home, how could I isolate her so soon??

Anyway, our vet gave us Program - the flea stuff! New research had shown that it is nearly 100% effective in treating Ringworm. We just hid it in her food, and voila, it was all cleared up in just over a month. No baths, no pills. Apparently it helps to prevent infection in the first place too, so if you are giving it to your pets for flea prevention, you are actually preventing ringworm too!

Yup, she's a torti, or "tortoiseshell". I didn't realize that this colour pattern had a name at the time, I just fell in love with her colours the second I saw her. Then she licked my fingers and that was it. LOL!

I had a cat that looked similar when I was little, but she was mostly black with big patches of beige and brown, hence her name became "Patches". I suppose she was actually a torti as well, but I'm not sure. I called her a reverse calico.... *grin*!

I gotta say, I'm one proud mama! Tasha's getting lots of attention. Thanks everyone!
