As in your dh calls you to bring him such and such, you yell back, I can't I have COL!!! Cat On Lap!!! My sister saw something like this in a cartoon in the paper recently. I think we all suffer from it! I know I do, just ask my dh! Donna

Yep, we suffer from that here too.
You bet. Many is the snack that has been sacrificed, the bladder that has suffered, the commercials that have been suffered through, the housework that doesn't get done...
I saw that cartoon, too. It's called Pickles. Old couple w/a cat. Not normally one of my fave comics, but the woman does have the right idea when it comes to cats. LOL

A Native American Grandfather was talking to his grandson about how he felt. The grandson said... "Grandfather, I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart. One wolf is a vengeful, violent, hateful one, the other wolf is a loving compassionate, caring one.
When I let Amber in, I suffer from this as well. But I mostly suffer from DCW - dead cat weight - as I can pretty much sit down and get up whenever I need to but I have to move Amber off my lap onto the couch as she's DCW when she snuggles. Basically, once she plops down on my lap, she doesn't move unless she needs to go back outside. Perhaps this is the same thing as COL though? ??? I always figure that other cats will move if you all need to get up but maybe they don't. My situation is not so much about not wanting to disturb Amber as it's more about she just doesn't budge for anything. LOL
