Good Evening from me & Misha...

I thought you'd like a little update on how Misha did at the vet's today. I had to leave her there for 3 hours while I took dh to get an out-patient cortisone injection for his herniated disc (ouch!) When I got back to the vet's she said Misha seemed to be getting better to her. Her temp was over 104 when she first got there, but that could have been due to being in her carrier. It came down to around 101 by the time I picked her up. She was not given any liquids since they felt she was drinking enough on her own (yeah!!). She didn't think I needed to give her any more nose drops...just her nightly antibiotic. She has a little abrasion over her eye where she's been rubbing it with her paw, but otherwise she's as good as can be expected. She still seems quite subdued, sleepy and quiet compared to her usual talkative self, but I think she's just tired from fighting this nasty bug. If all goes well (I'm still waiting for her to get over this congestion) I can let her out of her isolation room on Saturday to begin officially meeting her sisters. I will continue calling in progress reports to the vet, but hopefully she won't need to see the vet again until she's over this & is ready for her rabies, and other shots.

She had a brief few minutes of looking out the window and chattering at the birds, but now she is once again sleeping soundly. (At least I am not hearing every single breath like the other night). She still takes some breaths through her mouth, but hopefully she'll be back to breathing through her nose soon.

I hope you are all having a wonderful evening with your furbabies. Give them all a snuggle for me!

Hugs,

Suzy

Thank you so much Patrick. I tell Misha every day about everyone here thinking & praying for her. She's a lucky girl! She's sleeping soundly now...still breathing through her mouth a bit, but quieter than a few days ago. I'll have to wake her in a half hour for her pill.

How did the elections go yesterday? I haven't had a chance to read about it.

I look forward to letting you know when she is A-1 & healthy :-) I hope getting her vaccinations soon after that won't make her feel bad again. I'll try to think positively.

Have a wonderful evening!

Thanks! Misha is sleeping now. She was a bit sneezy earlier and congested, but I see light at the end of the tunnel. :-)

I am relieved you are just getting pain medicine. Dh thought it must be something like that or they wouldn't do it so often. I may have to ask you what they use if Dh doesn't get better soon.

Sweet Dreams!
