Help! Cat With Possible Lung-Digit Syndrome

A week ago I brought my 11-year-old cat in for a swollen toe. We tried antibiotics but when they didn't work, I brought her back in for an X-ray. The x-ray showed that most of her middle bone in her 3rd toe was gone, likely eaten by a cancer (or, less likely, a bad infection). We then took x-rays of her chest, which confirmed my worst nightmare -- she also had a lump in her lungs.

I am SO sorry.....

You are the best advocate for your pet....while you can't know for sure what something is based on the internet, it is certainly a resource to be used. Depending on your area and your finances, I think you have some options.

I am not familiar with this disease. But, depending on where you live, there may be specialists or large university vet schools that can help you. I live in the midwest and we have Ohio State and Michigan State nearby.

Please keep us posted.....and I wish you the very best.
