Help!! Finicky eater!!

Bruce has FLUTD (as I said before). He still has about another month to go on his prescription diet. Well today I started another box of food and it was a different flavor and he HATES it. Didn't touch it all day. I felt terrible!! I had some kitten food (when I thought I was getting a kitten) and mixed some of that into the prescription food and he did eat some of it. But I'm not sure if that's a good thing. I only put about a spoonful of the other food in to see if he would eat it, but it still made me nervous that I was messing with his diet. (\I'll definitely try to get to the vet tomorrow and see if they have the brand he would eat, but I just needed some reassurance that it was ok.

I also noticed that he doesn't TOUCH water unless I mix it into his food. I tried putting it in a separate dish away from his food, but he still wouldn't look at it. I'm thinking of getting one of those automatic fountains, hopefully that will help.

Right now he's sleeping next to me purring away on his back. So he seems ok, but poor thing, I feel like I'm a bad mom....

I would definitely try and get the kind he had before and don't mix anything with it (water only if that's what it takes but you shouldn't have to do that)... any other types of food that are not made specifically

Cat =^..^=

I'd get something that Bruce will eat. If he doesn't like what you have for him most of the time vets will take it back.
