So, how does everyone handles the hot days of summer in your house??

Granted we have a/c and it is ON!!! But....Maestro and Mozart will find any patch of sun to sleep in. Now, I understand Maestro - at almost 19 years old, I think he can stand any heat he can get on his old bones. But why Mo - the pitch black house panther - needs to raise his body temperature, I have no idea (and of  course then come lay on me like I am not hot enough).

Spud - our only long haired kitty - sleeps on the floor registers. Can't blame him. And everyone else just seems to sleep more.

Coco has been laying spread out on the hardwood floors a lot, but other times she's curled up on upholstered furniture. We have floor registers too and I've been running the a/c the last couple of days but she hasn't gone near them....but maybe that's because I've been hogging them LOL.

A lot of the time I find my cats laying in the sun that comes in the windows even on hot days.  Lots of times when I have the a/c going the older kitties lay on their heated beds.  I don't keep my house really cool, but I guess too cool for them. I have never seen any of my cats lay on the registeres with the a/c running.  I don't have any longed hair cats right now though.

The dogs seem to be able to cope with the heat less and even with the a/c on they will lay on the tile or laminate floor.
