Afternoon Cat & Everyone!

I have a co-worker who's had a pregnant stray cat showing up at her house for the past few days.

I am not cat but I think I would take her to the vet! That would be so great if they could keep her,she must need food to have her ribs felt! Please let us know!

Hi Suzy,

If your friend is willing, I would advise having kitty in to see the vet - especially since she is a stray, she could be FeLV or FIV positive and if that's the case, her babies will be also. :(

Thank you Cat for your help! I will pass on this information to Debbie and keep you posted on her kitty's progress. I will definitely encourage her to get the kitty to the vet ASAP. I will also tell her to have her spayed 6 weeks after birth.

Have a good night! :-)

Thank you Chris! I agree, she needs to go to the vet. I will be sure to keep you posted and I hope to post a photo sometime if she gets one. :-)

Thank you so much Leslie! I will pass your, Chris's & Cat's suggestions on to Debbie. I was talking to her about bringing the cat inside to be warm & safe. She said she is worried about her two other cats not liking the new one. I told her to keep her in a room by herself. I can tell she is becoming attached to her so I'm hoping she will be able to keep her. :-) I'll be sure to keep you posted. I hope the kitty starts eating more now that Debbie is feeding her proper cat food.

Debbie is an amazing person. She's only 40 and yet she has a serious respiratory illness that her doctor says could kill her within 5 years. (I pray hard this will not be the case). She is such a nurturer and is currently caring for her dh, 16 year old daughter, and also her son, his wife & 2 small children (who are living there temporarily while they get their finanaces in order). She loves animals and has one dog and 2 (now hopefully 3!) cats. I hope everything works out for her in all aspects and that she will be able to keep this sweet kitty.

I agree, and wish all cats could be safe inside. Debbie is taking everyone's advice here and is taking the cat to the vet tomorrow! :-) She moved her inside yesterday and she was so sweet she even snuggled with her in bed last night! I will let you know how the vet visit goes.
