Hello everyone! :)

If money wouldn't be a issue, How many cats would you like to own?

Michelle,

I don't think money is even THAT big of an issue for me. For me it's space! I live in a studio apartment and I'm not sure Mischa could handle sharing it with another. We went to visit my parents (who have a big house in Texas) and she loved running around and finding new hiding places. So let's see, if I had the money AND the space, I'd probably have around 4 or 5. I'd like to have many more to save cats from the shelters and give them a happy, loving life, but if I had too many I am not sure I could know them all individually as well. I am really big on the personal relationship between me and my kitten. I was considering getting a second (before I realized the apartment is just too small) and I was worried I'd be jealous of Mischa spending so much time with someone else!

Hello Candace!

For some people money is the issue. Myself for istance. I would really love to rescue cats/kittens from shelters but right now I can't afford it. I do have a dream of someday opening my own animal sanctuary that way I'd be doing something great for the homeless/unwanted animals. Someday in the future we will buy a house and maybe that dream will come true but for now I'm doing what I can. I have adopted and rescued cats. I'm sure the animals are and would be forever grateful. Thank You for responding to my post. Take care!

If finances and space were not an issue, I guess I would want to adopt as many pets as I could. However with the proviso that I could spend time with each one and giving each one my attention and love. I guess my answer to your question is simply; I don't know.

Michelle,

Eeek, didn't mean for it to sound like that! I, of course, understand money is an issue for many people. It is for me as well, as I am a broke graduate student right now! I just meant that for me right now space is an even bigger issue. Sorry about that! I hope it didn't sound insensitive.

Candace, no worries from here, I know the feeling. I am on sabbatical leave, meaning that the budget is really tight...

All the best,

Candace,

It's okay. Money is really tight right now. We have rent and bills to pay etc and my fiance is the only one working now. Thank god for that. I'm very thankful for what we have even if it's not the best of everything. I don't have much experience so most places don't want to hire me. Life has it's ups and down but somehow we manage. :)

Well, I currently habitate with 5, but I think they own me!!!! Honestly though, money is a smaller issue than space in this case. I guess if I had more $$, I'd have a bigger place and thus as many kitties as one could possibly have without being dirty, smelly or overcrowded. So, I guess that's my answer!!!!

If money and space weren't an issue, I would buy my granmother's cattery. She currently has around 30 cats, some were pregnant so I don't know an exact count.

I currently have 2 adult cats and 5 kittens(plus 1 Golden Retriever) in a trailer! Space is at a premium here! I've been thinking of keeping the littlest kitten, but I just don't know if I have the room. Although I am building a house next spring(They will start the foundation this fall), so maybe I will keep her. Jen

Hiya everyone!

Glad to hear your answers to my question. We all very much animal lovers. There are many good things about having pets around. My girls make me smile when I'm down. It's just like they *know* when Mommy isn't herself. They make my day go faster as I'm not presently working so I'm never bored. They are my kids in fur coats. I love them so much and wouldn't change any of them.
