Kissing your kitties

Do you think that when we kiss our kitties, they know that it's a gesture of affection? Some cats don't like to be kissed. Clyde didn't like to be kissed, even though he was a very affectionate cat. Daisy doesn't mind it at all, & even Miss Moxie, who isn't very affectionate, doesn't mind much when I kiss her. What do you think?
BTW, I recently added a pic of Moxie to my avatar, though it's not a very good pic.

Thank you. Miss Moxie is glad to finally be a part of my avatar. LOL
So Scooby is a love bug, huh? Cute.

Hi all, it's been a while since I've posted (been lurking around tho), but I just had to answer this one. I have 6 kittybrats: Samantha, Margarita, Abby, Hope, Lenny and Freddy. Lenny and Rita hate to be kissed (but Rita will rub all over you and knead you to death LOL); Sammi, Abby and Hope will tolerate it; but Freddy is absolutely hysterical (and smart, too). I'll tell him "Freddy, give Mommy kisses" and he'll come right up to me and headbutt me and rub against my face.... then I'll say "no Freddy, REAL kisses" and (most of the time) he'll lean over and start licking my face. He'll only do it for me, no one else in the house will get a Freddy kiss on demand.

My Calico loves to be kissed on her little head. And I love to kiss her head! LOL!! My Tabby doesn't like it, but if I cradle her face and make kissy face at her she purrs.
I guess they are all different! Ü
