The kitties are still doing well, but still no sign of the elusive 4th one. The guy who originally saw them said he wasn't even positive there WAS 4, but everyone is keeping an eye out just in case.
As I said before, one of the guys said he was going to take one home, and he did so yesterday. He said he's always had somewhat of an affinity for the "runt of the litter", so he took the littlest one, the girl. I was a little concerned about her because she was the only one who still hadn't eaten or drank at all by the end of the work day. I heard this morning that he said she still hadn't eaten, and had cried all night. The poor little thing must be starving and on the brink of dehydration, not to mention exhausted. The guy said he was told by a pet store employee that if she still hadn't eaten anything after 36 hours, that they had a way to give her some fluids. He said they were a really good pet store, and that they knew what they were talking about - but he's still going to take her to a vet on the weekend. I really hope she can hang on til then.
The two boys seem to be doing really well. I brought both of them home with me last night, because the lady who decided to take one thought they should stay together for their first night away from their mom. I kept them in our 2nd bedroom, and didn't let Tasha see them yet. I bought a baby dosing syringe last night, and used it to feed them both mushed up canned food mixed with water. They took to it after a little coaxing - I had to sort of push it into the corners of their mouths and drip a little until they got the idea that food came out of it - and now they don't need coaxing at all! They are both back here at work with me now, and so far they've played, ate, and slept, all in that order, twice. LOL - they are so cute! I wish the other guy had brought his girl back in today though - I think he left her home alone. She may have been more comfortable with her brothers, and I may have been able to coax her into eating from the syringe. I'm so worried about her. :(
I will be taking my little guy to the vet tonight - we have an appointment for 6:00. And I'm thinking about naming him Bailey, after Bailey's Irish Cream, which I LOVE... mmmmm! And Bailey seems to be a cute little name for him. :) BUT I'm still going to be treating this as a foster-care situation until I am sure Tasha will accept him. I need to be prepared to give him up again if I have to. She will be meeting him tonight after he checks out at the vet. Wish us luck!

Please try to convince the guy who took the female kitten to take her to the vet ASAP. She must be looked at immediately if she is not eating or drinking. If you have an appointment tonight, maybe you could have him bring along the female and have your vet look at all three. Unfortunately, it could be a matter of life or death to wait.
