Hi everyone

Ok first I feel like a little tattle tale because I'm ratting out my Husband.

He has this idea in his head that our cat, that we took off the street as a wee little girl is missing out on going outside in the summer(She's now two yrs).

Now the problem really is that we have alot of ferals all over probably her cousins and I know her mom is out there we got her spayed but she is not on any flea preventative and though she is up to date on her shots I'm reading about more viruses I don't think her shots covered. Basically I'm scared that now she will have felv or anything else I don't know about. She now scratching and I hope she doesn't have mites, our dog is scratching but she is on advantage so I don't understand what's up with her.

I'm just pissed because this was a long battle that I lost and now he see's that I was right but they are suffering. I just hate that he doesn't take my word for it. I have been working with animals for many years. I'm not a cat expert but I do try to follow new

findings in the medical community.

First I know I have to get them both to the vet which is in the works, but how do I get him to listen? or should I just stop dreaming.

i agree that it's a very good idea to keep cats indoors for your very good reasons, but how do we keep them from getting bored all day while we are at work? do they sleep all that time? ifnot, how do we keep them stimulated during the day? a toy? if so, which one? i'd appreciate any advice. thanks dena harris

A cat condo or other perch in front of a window works well, but I have noticed that my Tasha sleeps A LOT during the day. I was home from work sick for 2 days last week, and I noticed that Tasha basically slept the entire day - either in her bed, or in my lap. At about 4:30-ish (we get home normally at 5:00), she got up and started getting active. It's like she is conditioned to know when we will be home!
