Losing her voice?

Hi there from a mom of a very 'gabby' kitty. Recently, (and once or twice in the past) Mia has had a raspy voice. It's starting to go away, & lasted for a few days. She's a siamese/tabby mix, & she meows as much as a Siamese, but has the high pitched meow of a tabby. But when she loses her voice, she sounds like a Siamese! I think that it happens because she just meows very loudly too often. Does anyone else of a gabby or not particularly gabby cat ever have that happen?

I haven't had anyone lose their voice, but Mozart has the oddest meow I have ever heard.

The family that I nanny for has a big fat old man buffed colored tabby who has the oddest meow...usually when he meows & the baby is taking a nap, I honestly can't tell if it's the baby crying or the cat meowing.

LOL - I have noticed that the bigger the boy and neutered early, the higher the voice.

I had a gabby cat once and she lost her voice a couple of times.
