Well, it was pretty rainy here all weekend so doing anything outdoors was out. The short time the sun came out it was soooo steamy that it was too uncomfortable to be out then. Saturday I ran errands, got my monthly allergy shot, and did some shopping. Sunday I went to look at some new patio homes and townhomes and visited with my brother and sil.
I'm looking to move out and up and hopefully get a place that either has or has the possibility of an enclosed/screened patio or deck. I think the boys would absolutely be in cat heaven and I would love it too!
My week is shaping up to be another crazy one at work.
Good evening -- Penelope here, nearly midnight and it's the first chance I've had to turn on the computer all day. We just spent the entire weekend (and that includes today) completely reconstructing the box spring portion of my bed. The wooden frame was in great shape but the springs were shot, so we had to swap out the bad springs for the okay ones on the box springs my roommate tossed out when he got his new queen size bed. Jackie is VERY happy she finally gets to sleep in her room.
We had several tornadoes Thursday night and spent nearly three hours in the cellar. Fortunately none of the tornadoes actually hit town, although some farms nearby got smashed up pretty badly. (But unlike us, all the ones who got hit have LOTS of insurance, and will come out of it far better than they were before.) The storms hit so fast we hardly had time to get everything we needed and make it to the cellar, but we stuck the two girls in their cages and got them there safe and sound. Tegan, who is normally petrified of storms, came out of her cage and inspected the cellar calmly, having a great time since she knew we were safe. Jackie spent the time resting in her carrier. Due to the lack of time, the space constraints, and the fact they don't get along too well, we decided to leave the two boys in the house. I'm certainly glad I did all that work in the cellar earlier in the season. It REALLY helped having a TV down there so we could follow all the weather reports and look at the radar.
A day late and a dollar short. Sorry, for not posting to the 'roll call' yesterday, but ever since I got back from my Dad's funeral, things have been happening like that. Anyway, this past weekend was the first one I had to 'breathe' since I got back so, consequently didn't do much except the laundry, etc. with Cocoa's help of course. The weather here was pretty nice, so I had the windows open for fresh air. I try to keep busy and not think too much about my Dad - although I loved him dearly and will miss him. Anyway, how was everyone else's weekend?

Hi Everyone,

Hugs to all,
