Nice, breezy, sunny weather here. Took two kitties to their new home Sat., almost 300 miles round trip, didn't seem long though. I hope they will be happy there. Sunday I rode with another lady to pick up her foster puppy. Poor thing got car sick. I'm back working today, have the windows open, the kitties are playing, chasing each other around the house. ds's gf found a 5 week old black, male kitten thrown out on the side of the road, Thurs. I think, needless to say he is here now. Took him to the vet Sat. morning to be checked out and wormed. He already loves the dogs and some of the kitties. One of my younger kitties, maybe 6 mos. old, a calico (she harasses the 3 kitties in my room that were rescues, to the point that they won't come out of my room, Calli lives to do this)anyway, Calli pretty well has decided to be the kittens mother! Its wierd. I also found a wonderful home for a long haired, huge black w/white declawed male cat. His family didn't want him, he has the most laid back personality. I hated to find him a home but he couldn't make it here without his claws. He was as soft as a bunny. A girl I've known forever works at the vets clinic p/t, cleaning up and has 3 declawed kitties and I spur of the moment Sat. asked her if she knew of anyone for the kitty and she took him. She will give him a great forever home. Donna
Noelle here. When I left, Annie and Chalimar were sitting at the sliding glass door, watching the birds. They are really enjoying the new condo. Tons of bird activity, due to the line of pine trees right behind us.
My weekend was borning and uneventful. Well, ok, I did spend Saturday afternoon in the emergency room with my mom. She apparently just broke a blood vessel in her leg, but they had to do an ultrasound and x-ray to determine that. She and I were both miffed, because we had planned to go shopping. Instead, we spent 3hrs at the hospital. The doctor was cute, but he came in at the end and was like "well thanks for spending the afternoon with me." It took everything I had to not tell him that we'd seen him for a total of 5min, and that had we REALLY spent the afternoon with him, he'd have been sitting there with us bored out of our minds for 3 hrs. Cute guy, but a dork. End result though...mom is fine, just has to keep her leg up. Which meant no shopping. :(
Kelly here at work while Tasha and Bailey are at home. Bailey is growing like a little weed! He's already reaching higher areas that he couldn't get to last week, and yesterday he figured out how to climb up the side of the bed. LOL. He'll be big enough to handle his first swat from Tasha in no time. :)
Tasha BTW is still hissing at him, but she seems fairly indifferent to him unless he actually starts running toward her (at which point I grab him because she IS still at least 9 or 10 times his size!)
