Welcome! What's the story of those books? I never heard of them.

Happy birthday! I beat you by a year and 2 months. LOL

P.S. I love your profile. We have a lot in common, except that I don't want to get married. LOL. What other cat books have you read? Do you read the Cat Who books? How about Rita Mae Brown's cat/dog mysteries?

Katz

i read all kinds of cat books, but only non-fiction-there's so much to learn( for me anyway). but other than the cat health & behavioral type books, i like to read biographies written by cat owners describing their lives with their cats. the book i mentioned "the cat who will live forever" by peter gethers was written by someone who was given his cat at 6 weeks and from that day took him everywhere on his travels. the first book "the cat who went to paris" descibes their trips to europe and the 2nd book "the cat who went abroad" was of further adventures they had. the "forever" book was written after NORTON (the cat) had died and told of their last trips together and of course how he eventually had to face losing him. there is also a similar trilogy written by cleveland amory (chief tv critic for tv guide) that describes his life with his cat. i could give you a whole list if you're interested, but i think 2 trilogies will keep you busy. by the way amory put his on audio cassette too. NORTON became so popular that when news got out that he died, they did an obituary of him in the new york times! just one of many amazing facts that you'll read about him.

I've heard of the Amory books. Don't know why I didn't read the first 2, but I didn't read the last because I had recently lost one of my beloved kitties, & couldn't stand the thought of reading about it. Maybe I'll try that other trilogy. Thanks.

I like fiction that involves cats.

i would probably like the cat fiction too, but like i said there are so many books written by cat owners about their REAL cats,it's all i can do to find time for them and cat health books. but i'll try fiction someday. i'm listening to an audioset called "greatest cat stories of the 20th century" (SHORT stories). well it's a start.
