Just an update on Ms Kitty. We took her down to the city yesterday for her Radio-Iodine treatment to cure her hyperthyroidism. The clinic had told me over the phone prior to her arrival that it is rare in cats younger than 8 to to be hyperthyroid, so chances are she is a bit older than 5/6 like the shelter had told us. Well when we took her in I asked the vet there how old she thought Ms Kitty was.She looked at

YEAH!!!! Thanks for the update and be sure to keep us posted. I didn't realize how involved it was, but I am SO glad she will be better and you decided to go forward with this treatment.

There is an 11 year old cat at the shelter where I volunteer and we jokingly say we would like a second opinion since Inky doesn't act that old. Guess it is all relative...

I am very excited to be bringing her home tomorrow! The only thing that will bug me is I won't be able to hug her or give her a kiss on top of her head lol Apparently from what they've told me in the past updates, she has been playing alot and really getting into it with all the toys. Which I find surprising and slightly confusing given that at home she doesn't touch her toys, and she has a huge variety of them too. She has mice, palm tree scratching post with hammoc, a neon shoe lace, toys that move when you pull their tails....she has all sorts, but yet she doesn't touch any of them. I am going to ask them tomorrow what types of toys they have that she seems so interested in,then I can buy some that she'll actually play with lol I am really glad to hear though that she is still happy being that active at her age.She needs to stay active in order to stay healthy.Especially since she is older than we originally were told. Also she has been eating the dry food they have there, so I plan to find out what brand so I can purchase it too, that way she can eat healthy food, as appose to the Whiskas we have at home, although we were somewhat forced to buy that because we couldnt seem to find a brand she would eat that was good foor her.

That is a great update...I agree it will be hard not to love on her for a while.

And she certainly sounds like she actually enjoyed her time at the clinic (I know I would never have gotten good reports like that...haha).

Keep us updated.... love that they had to make a shopping run for her. :)
