Early this morning Itchy lost most of his strength. He was not able to stand any more or walk. I stayed with him all night and helped him to the litter box when he had to go, to the water fountain when he wanted a drink and get under the comforter when he wanted to hide. I stayed by his side and we talked from about <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />1:30am. At 2:30 we rushed him to Electra’s vet to get him some fluids. We wanted him to make it to the morning in hopes of allowing him to pass in his own room where he was happiest. We got back home about 3am and I stayed up still with him till we left for the vet’s at 8:15am. The vet was unable to keep his promise to come here and let Itchy leave from his room due to a full schedule.
We brought him in his covered bed with his monkey and guardian angle kitty. I told him how sorry I was and how much I love him, how much me means to me and how perfect he is. At about 9:10am he received the injection. Itchy turned his head to look at me, then he was gone.

Dear ^^Itchy^^, I will miss hearing about your antics. You were truly loved.

It's never easy to lose a pet, especially when we have to make that difficult choice. It's better to let him go than have him suffer. As such a caring pet owner, I'm sure you made the right decisions for him.
It sounds like Itchy brought a lot of fun and enjoyment to your lives. Remember his antics as you try to cope. Talk to Donna and remember Itchy together. Know that we here are thinking of you and Itchy.
Lots of hugs.
Take Care,
