Hello everyone. I posted here briefly a long tiem ago, when my son was about to be born, and was worried how my kitty Glory, would adjust.

My boy is now almost 17 months old, and Glory is doing fine, running away from a very active toddler, but still doing fine.

Until recently.

A stray has been coming around our patio and meowing, and we fed him. And petted him. And fell in love with him.

I took him to the vet, and we are now the new people of Whodey the cat (boyfriend is a Bengals fan). He's around 9 months old, has a broken tail, probably from an injury, no diseases, and treated for ear mites and fleas.

This may sound silly, but I explained to Glory why I was taking Whodey in, and promised to love Glory as I always have and always will. But, he dosen't seem to believe me.

The cat's play, and there doesn't seem to be any strong dislike on either party.

But my Glory doesn't cuddle with me. He was kown for smooshing his face into mine and laying with me. He doesn't even sleep next to me anymore.

Help! Do you guys know if my cuddle kitty will ever return?

Any advice is much appriciated!

I was wondering as well how long you have had the new cat. My cat Amber lives with my dad out in the country. My grandparents live next door and have a dog, Missy, who is my dog's mother. My grandparents started going down to Florida in the winter a couple of years ago and since the dogs are either at my dad's or grandparents' houses anyways, my dad takes care of Missy during the winter months. The winter we started taking care of Missy, Amber would not have anything to do with me for an entire month. And I don't live there and she doesn't get to snuggle when I'm not around. While my family thought I was a little crazy, I know she was mad cause she wouldn't let me hold her and would generally stay about 3-4 ft away from us. Plus, there were times where she glared at me. lol So, perhaps Glory just needs to go through his little funk and once gets over a new kitty in the house, he'll be your little snugglepuss again. ;-)
