Hi everyone!
I was able to get Patches to the vets by 8:30 this morning just before the vet was about to go into surgery. She didn't have time to see me herself, but her vet tech took Patches back for the vet to see and came back and told me what she said. It was funny....Patches had no voice for 2-3 days and as soon as she was in her carrier on the way to the vets she started meowing (raspy, but at least she had a voice again. LOL!) She meowed a lot at the vets (they probably wondered why I'd said she had no voice...giggle!) The vet said she'd lost a pound (now she's 17.4 pounds....she used to be 20 at her heaviest). Her temp was 104 but they said the drive over could have stressed her into such a high temp. She said Patches had inflammation in her throat and some congestion. They did just like they had when Boots was sick, and gave Patches a Baytril shot along with an anti-inflammatory shot. They said to stop giving her the Clavamox and starting tomorrow I'm to give her one Baytril pill a day for 10 days. After I put Patches back in the car I went and bought a pretty bouquet of flowers in a vase and took them back to the vets along with some Omaha Steaks (Tim's idea) and a thank you card with a kitty on it and left it there with the tech to give to the vet. I wanted to thank her for all she's done this year (especially saving my Misha's life last summer). The vet is open tomorrow morning so I may take Thomie in to have them check her acne problem on her chin (it never cleared up in spite of the Stridex and the antibiotics). It's not life threatening at least, but I'd like to get it cleared up. I think I'm going to buy cat health insurance for next year! LOL Patches was happy to come home and finally eat her breakfast. I think she'll be feeling better in no time.

Yippee! glad he will be back to feeling good again!

LOL, that's just the way it goes when they can't or do something at home then do the opposite at the vets.
Sorry to hear about Patches. Poor kitty! She must have been screaming in the car to get any sound out. Give her a kitty kiss for us!
