Picky eaters?

Are any of your cats picky eaters?

I can't get over how picky Coco is about wet food. She only likes the pate type that is so pureed that she doesn't have to chew it. Flaked, shredded, etc she will barely touch---mostly to lick up the gravy. And picky about flavors too. Then, she seems to get overwhelmed by a large serving....if I put just a spoonful or two she will eat it all, if I give her more she barely eats any. I don't think its a tooth/jaw issue because she loves dry food and crunches as much of it as I'll feed her.

When she first found us she was so hungry she would eat as much of anything as we would give her. Once she filled her belly (and realized she had me wrapped around her paw) she turned into such a diva!

Does anyone else experience this?

My Mia is very picky too.  She doesn't like wet food period, and doesn't even like any kind of treats either.  She just likes the boring crunchy food.  She would never touch human food either.

My cats have self feed dry food, but I gave them a can of Fancy Feast to share very 3-4 days for a treat.  Molly loves it but Tiger mostly licks like your cat does.  Funny, they both prefer the pate also, not flaked.

My Tiger is so picky.  He is like your Coco and only likes the pate type foods and very few of them.  I got him some gravy lovers food and of course he just licked the gravy off of it.  He eats very little too and will eat a little dry sometimes and his treats.  He's a senior kitty and I think like some senior people things just don't taste or smell as good to him.

If she is a good weight and young I don't think I would worry about her.  Sometimes cats will have teeth problems that do prevent them from eating the way they should.

You Mia is like my Pumpkin and will only eat dry food.  There is one kind of treat that she likes and will sometimes eat those, but mostly it's dry for her.

I only had problems with picky eaters when I had only one cat. It's been more than 20 years since that has happened. Having other cats makes them want to eat whatever they are served, before someone else eats it all!
