I finally updated and reloaded my website. No frills, but if you follow this link and click on the "My Cats!" link on the left, it'll take you to pictures of Bad Annie and Chalimar. I thought you'd like to see the kitties I'm talking about. There's even photos of Bad Annie in action. :)

I make mine, but you can sure tell the difference when someone who knows what they are doing makes one.

Yes, Chalimar is a tortie. I'll admit, that's what drew me to her. I'd never seen a cat that was grey with the orange and white. I read a magazine once that called that a "blue-cream tortie." She's my big girl. She weighs 12lbs, but she's not fat. She's really tall, and has a 15in long tail. She doesn't like to be cuddled, but she has to be in whatever room I'm in, and involved in whatever I'm doing. She's a talker, too. We hold "conversations" all the time.

Torties are very good at that! Tasha and I "chirp" back and forth at each other for several minutes at a time sometimes. She's so cute. :)

I actually talk to her, and she has different meows for responses. It's almost like she understands me. Course, it's nice to have a cat that responds to my voice. Annie is completely deaf. No conversations with her. I can't tell you how many times I've hollered "Annie, cut it out!" and then thought, why am I shouting at a deaf cat??? But I confess, I got Annie BECAUSE she's deaf. I'm hearing impaired, too, though only in one ear.

Oh, I didn't know that torties were known to be talkers. My tortie, Daisy, sure is a talker. :)

Yup. I mentioned to a lady a while ago that my cat likes to "talk" to me, and she asked if she was a tortie. Surprised, I asked how she knew, and she said "torties are big 'talkers'". LOL.

Makes sense. Tasha is continuously "chirping" and "whining" at me. I love her.

Daisy is the first talkative cat I've ever had. I had to keep a friend's talkative (come to think of it, she was a tortie! LOL) cat once years ago, & it drove me nuts. But I love my Daisy to little furry bits! Most of her yelling is asking for attention. She's my Love Bug of the Universe! :-)

Come to think of it, my best friend had a blue-cream tortie once! She was all multi-coloured with gray, orange, beige, and black. It never occured to me at the time that she was a tortie, because her colours weren't nearly as vibrant as Tasha's, and she had the gray. But she was a talker! If you looked at her, she would meow. If you fed her, she would meow. If you didn't feed her, she would meow. If you gave her a toy, she would meow. She was so vocal! Too funny!

Honey and Oakley are talkers too and both torties. Honey is more of a talker and will also carry on a conversation with me.

Ok, I'm going to look into this and I'll let you know how it goes. Like I said I'm technologically challenged to it may take me longer than it would others, but I'm going to try it.

Thanks for the advice! I would love for you to see "the boys" too!

Take care, Lynn
