Hi all, this is my first time posting here to this board. My cat somehow got out on either late Thursday, or Friday morning. He hasn't come back to the house yet. I don't know what to do. I've called the humane society, checked petharbor for my area and the newspaper lost & found. I don't know what to do! I'm putting up flyers in my neighborhood, but does anyone have any suggestions? I'm going crazy, I can't sleep and I'm so worried. We had a snowstorm here last night, and it is so cold outside. My cat has a collar, with tags, but the number is my old disconnected one, but the address is correct. His collar is also one of those break away ones if he gets caught on something, it will come off. I'm so worried. He's always been an inside cat, and is declawed. Is there any hope? Anything more that I can do? I've put food outside the front door and back door, but I can't see that any of it's gone. :( I'm so scared that if he did jump the fence, the house behind us has 3 big dogs, that could have done something to him. :( Has anyone had this happen to them? Did the cat come back? Please help, I'm going crazy. I did not let him out, but I think my fiance's mom may have "accidently" let him out. HELP!!!!!!!!!

My neighbors inside cat got out, was under their house overnight. Take a flashlight outside around your house/neighborhood and look for shining eyes. Don't give up. Donna

Some more ideas: Promise (& of course, deliver) a big reward for his return, on your flyers. Go into the Humane League every other day & look at all the cats they have. Your note may not have gotten to everyone there, & your kitty may slip through the system. Put an ad in the newspaper Lost & Found. Go outside frequently & call him.

Good luck! I will hope for his safe return.
