Pregnant stray living in my garage, help

I discovered a pregnant calico (a very beautiful specimen) living in my unattached garage where I store my gardening things. She's made herself a nest in the straw I keep there. She's won't let me get near her even though I've been feeding her. I already have two cats and three dogs (which, unfortunately, is the legal limit in my town) so I can't keep her. Is there somewhere or someone who helps with these types of situations? I don't want to report her to the humane society here because the rate of cat adoption here is very low. I am in northeast Missouri. I really want to try to help her and possibly adopt out the kittens. Any ideas?

I went on petfinder.org and sent emails to every rescue group in the state that sounded good. Several are working on helping me place over 25 cats a lady has. That is a start. Also put up signs at the vets clinics, even in nearby towns. Start looking for possible kitten homes. You may have to live trap the mother cat after her kittens are older and have her spayed. She may tame up in time. I'm so glad you are feeding her. You are her angel. Donna
