I just have to throw this out there..... I help with the adoptions for a local rescue that has cats at a local pet store available for adoption. I got an application the other day. Among other things, we check vet records on other pets in the house. I called the vet on their dog - and was told it has to be muzzled outside the vet office before being allowed in the building as it is animal aggressive.

Any they want to adopt a 9 week old kitten.  Why???  I haven't called them back yet but while the answer is still no, I almost can't wait to hear the story they are going to try to spin on this one.

Geeze, those people don't have a clue about adopting a kitten with a dog like that.  It will be interesting to hear what they say, but glad the kitten isn't going to them.

well, no story. I called to tell them no approval and all I got was voicemail. And somehow I suspect they won't be calling back.

The upside is that a VERY nice couple came in the next day and adopted that same kitten. They also have a dog - a very calm relaxed 4 year old golden retriever. (my money is on the kitten)

I'm sure you won't hear back from those people.  Thank goodness you checked with the vet.

That's wonderful that the kitten got his or her forever home.
