Happy Holidays everyone!

There are many plants that are toxic to our furbabies and many of them are holiday/ seasonal plants. I thought now would be a good time to list those so we all know what plants are NOT OKAY to have around the house. Specifically: Amaryllis, Calla Lily, Holly, Mistletoe, Poinsettia (low toxicity). I know this covers most of the easy-to-grow, festive plants but there are many nice silk versions and anything is worth keeping our babies in good health, right?

For a COMPLETE list of houseplants that are toxic to kitties, go to http://www.moggies.co.uk/plants.html

Thank you. I had to get rid of all my plants as they would not leave them alone. When you say low toxicity for the Poinsetta is it relativitly safe?

I think that poinsettas, when nibbled by our furbabies, just make them sick to their stomachs for a bit and they may or may not throw up. It supposedly isn't life-threatening, just makes them a bit weasy.
