splitting up pets

Five years ago I adopted two kittens, a brother and sister, who I named Sadie and Jude and love them both dearly. About two years ago Sadie began throwing up on a daily basis, sometimes 10 times a day. This has continued over the past two years, except now she throws up in spurts. Sometimes she'll go weeks without throwing up and then one day there'll be five piles and it will go on for a week or so. I have taken her to the vets countless times, fed her indoor formula/hairball treatment food, give her hairball remedy medicine and nothing works. I have tolerated this because I use to live in an apt. with hardwood floors and it was easy to clean up. Although when it was on my kitchen table or antique hope chest my grandmother gave me is when it really got to me. I recently moved into a house with a family that I nanny for and they made me a living space in their attic. It is quite small, perfect for me, but I don't believe enough space for me and my cats. It is also carpeted making me worry about the next vomiting incident. Also, the family has a dog and Jude is afraid of kittens so he is confined to the attic basically. But so is Sadie since she is a vomiter and they don't want her in their home. Sadie is also an incessant meower, especially at 3am, making sleep impossible. I am basically at my wits end with her and am unsure what to do. I don't know if it is even right that I keep two animals in this small space with me, especially Sadie since she is a nervous, jittery and frisky cat who likes to roam. I am not so much worried about Jude since he likes to sleep mostly and have his belly rubbed. If I got rid of Sadie I worry what that would do to them emotionally since they are brother and sister and have been together since birth. Although as long as they were being loved by an owner, which Jude would most definitely be loved by me, I wonder if it would be better for them anyhow. But then again, who wants a cat that vomits and meows non stop? I am very distraught over all of this and would appreciate anyone's feedback. Thank you! Aimee

Boy , that is a hard one and i would hate to separate them. It seems there must be somehting with the vomiting that can help her!
