This is embarrassing...Do you sweet talk your cats? I do all the time. I caught the phrase "perfection in fur" coming out of my mouth yesterday in reference to Badness. Trying to make her feel better. She has been a bit depressed since Tucker came. Not enough attention I guess.

Scrappy is Swift Paw, and Mama's Precious Girl. Tucker is Handsome Boy.

Please tell me I am not the only one who does this!!

I have several names for Vera - mostly I call her my "Sweet Baby" because she has the sweetest disposition and she's only about a year old. I also call her my "Wildcat" and my "Tiger" because she sniffs the air a lot like cats in the wild and she loves to hunt! Sometimes I tell her she is part raccoon because she has the same coloring as a 'coon , even down to the striped tail. My other cat, Inez, is more difficult to love. She has a jealous, aggressive nature. But sometimes when she is being nice I call her my "Little Pony" because when she runs she looks like a pony galloping. I also call her my "Bunny" because she's a small cat with that ultra-silky rabbit-like fur, and because she uses her hind feet like a rabbit. Geez, I need one of those bumper stickers that says "Ask me about my cats!" Iri

Oh God no. I do it all the time.. they know the tone too. it is funny. Angel girl has a song I sing to her and so does Alixx.. they just purr and move their tail and suck right up.. they are SO smart. I have different tones for different commands and they know.. I will ask if they want to go outside and Alixx starts meowing. Angel goes near the back door. Alixx gets on my dining room table and waits for me to leash him and off we go. they know.. keep talking to them, they love it.

Oh, of course! I baby talk them, & call them all kinds of pet names, including those usually meant for humans, like Honey, Sweetie, etc. And they have all kinds of nicknames--Fuzzyface, Furgirl. Many more. Daisy is My Cuddlebunny of the Universe. Moxie is Mommy's Stripey Girl. For long time, I would sit on the toilet & Daisy would want me to pick her up. Then I would sing to her that song, "Daisy, Daisy, Give me your answer, do." LOL. But she hasn't asked for that for a long time.

Phew!!! I am glad I am not the only one, then. Sometimes, it seems like my cats roll their eyes at me, like "she is losing her mind". Another name I use is Sweet Feet.
