Sending purrs and prayers in Teddi's direction. I've been gone from the board for quite a while but have done some catching up on the posts and have to say, that Teddi is one remarkable kitty!

May everything go well!!

I am definitely thinking of Teddi today. Thanks for the update. I have to fight back tears when I picture that beautiful kitten running around on little stumps for legs... she would HAVE proper legs if that evil monster hadn't taken them away from her. I'm just so glad to hear that she seems none the worse for wear, and is happy. I hope she is fully healed soon.

Hey... I actually saw Leo standing in his bed! Hee hee... he's always sleeping when I see him. :)

Leo is a lazy cat. Actually the seizure medication and his brain damage make him very inactive. When he is not sleeping he loves to lay and watch things. His activity level is as close to zero as a cat can get to. But that is fine with us. We love him no matter how active or inactive he may be. Like Teddi, Leo would be a normal cat today if it were not for some jerks! He is a very special cat, and each night I help him fly to the bedroom where he sleeps with me and I sing the "Super Leo" song to him. ;) He is spoiled and loved rotten. *grin*

Well, Leo certainly doesn't have jerks for owners now! I'm sure he knows the difference and loves you all the more for it.

I often wonder if Bailey even appreciates how good he has it. He was a feral for only the first 5 weeks of his life, and I doubt he even remembers much, if anything. Things could have turned out very badly for him, very easily. Now he is a spoiled little ball of love who has everything a kitten could ever want - toys, food, shelter, and best of all, people who love him and care for him. :)

I certianly know that one! Orion was about 4.5 to 5 weeks old when I found him on the highway, talon marks on his back! He escaped a hawk somehow and lucked out that I stopped to see what that little black thing in the MIDDLE of the road was. Next car would have crushed him!

You know, we sure can affect others lives with simple things, like stopping a car. :) I am so glad I did!

Did you get the package yet? And next time email me direct for a nice discount!@******* (the last group of characters was Nova standing on the keyboard)

More on Teddi this morning from his foster home:

From Sarah!

"The best news possible!!!! Dr. Gendreau looked at Teddi, and decided not to operate, at this time. Last week, Thursday, Teddi was building infections again, and had a 104.6 degree temperature. That's why the surgery appointment was set up today. We were all discouraged. At that time Teddi was put on Baytril(antibiotic), and in two days she was showing significant improvement!!! She has continued to improve since that time(per last update). Everyone was feeling deliriously happy about her progress(the vet techs have grown to love her too). Dr. Gendreau feels, though, that we would be too optimistic to think that we could have already nailed the infections, permanently. But, for now, he thinks she looks good! Yeah!!!!!!!!! I have instructions to monitor her progress, and bring her back if she starts to falter. The big test will happen after she goes off of antibiotics!!!!! Teddi's been on antibiotics pretty straight since 5/15/05, when she was found. For now, we will just relax and let her enjoy some kittenhood.

It is completely amazing how far little Teddi has come, thus far!!!!! I'm sure you've all seen the pictures of Teddi a few days after she came in, with the raw bloody stumps. She, now, is beginning to look like a brand new kitten, with a brand new happy little life ahead of her. I hope I'm not getting too optimistic, because she still will have medical issues. Its just absolutely fantastic and uplifting to see what a wonderful group of caring animal lovers can do to help a poor unfortunate kitten, with a rough start in life. I'm talking about all of you out there, that have made it your mission to make a difference in little Teddi's life!!!!

Thanks for all of your support!!! All of you deserve a pat on the back, for your contributions to her good report!!!

We will still keep you all posted."

Thanks for the updates David. I'm so glad that Teddi is doing so well and able to be a kitten, and feel like one too.

No, I haven't received the package yet, but I wouldn't expect it this quick anyway - not coming through customs. Even if they don't open it, it still sits there for at least a couple of days. And I will definitely email you for the next one. ;)

That is fantastic news about Teddi, I just hope it STAYS fantastic! How old was she when she was found? I got Bailey on May 9th and he was about 5 weeks old - he and Teddi are quite possibly the same age...

Teddi was about 4 to 5 weeks old then. She was a couple of week old when someone did that to her. :(
