Tendonectomy

Has anyone had a tendonectomy done on their cat?

My husband is insisting that our 3 cats get declawed, but I've always been adamantly against the painful, inhumane surgery. However, someone told me about a tendonectomy, which is supposedly less invasive.

Is this true? Does it psychologically change the cat?

Any additional feedback would also be well received.

Thank you.

I have never heard of it. Our vet now uses a laser for declawing and there is no bleeding or swelling.
