Thanksgiving worries

My dad is having Thanksgiving at his house this year. My Amber will be around but will not able to be in the house. I'm worried about not being able snuggle with her like I normally do when I go out there. Since it's getting colder out now, she starting to expect that she'll be able to come in more and snuggle. This is the first time since my parents' have gotten divorced that my dad has any family get togethers at his place, so Amber's not going to understand why she can't come in too. I know Amber will be fine with everything. She'll want to come in, but when she can't, she'll just go hang out in the flower bed or on the front porch or something like she does whenever she's not let inside at other times. So, the problem is me. I already feel guilty for leaving her there with my dad and brother. They take care of her, but they don't take care of her like *I* do, if that makes sense. So, I'm already feeling guilty about not being able to snuggle with her and spend time with her. I'm planning on going out there a little early and petting her, but she won't be able to come in cause some relatives are allergic to cats. Does anyone else worry about things like this when in reality, your furbaby is absolutely fine with whatever happens? Seriously, she'll be fine, but I'm the one who's all anxious and worrying about it all. LOL

I would really worry about my cats too if I couldn't have them in with me.

Is it possible for your cat to live with you instead of your father? You are right to be concerned about her being outside, especially as it gets colder. Does she have any sort of shelter from rain or snow? If she can't live with you right now, is it possible for her to be fostered by a friend or relative of yours until you are able to get a place you could bring her to?
As far as Thanksgiving, what Leslie suggested was a good idea. If she is in one closed room, away from the guests, it shouldn't bother them. I have had allergic friends visit me and my 3 furry felines. The cats stay in one of the bedrooms if there is someone allergic in the house. I do extra vacuuming ahead of time. It works out fine.
