Starting this weekend to really think about another cat. My kids have never had a "kitt" and really would like one. I forgat everything!! like how do you train them to the litter box and do you "kennel" them at night and when you are gone when they are cmall? It seems we did with Tiger as back then we used a playpen!! Tiger was so good and never scratched any furniture or chewed and never ,just once when he pushed the turkey on the floor for dusty,LOL!,never got on the kitchen counters. Any ideas??

Hi Chris. I think that's great you are going to get another kitty. Most cats and kittens know how to use the litter box so you don't have to train them.

Sorry I missed your posts this weekend.....

I agree with Leslie. (Since I have a new kitten and am refreshing my memory, too....LOL!) She knew how to use the box. I think they see their mother or siblings use it and just learn it easily from there. Funny enough, mine did roll around in the litter the first few days....but she's gotten better since watching Misha use the box).

I keep my kitten in our bedroom (with access to the master bathroom where her box is and food & water) while we're at work. This way she won't get into trouble while we're out. I'm afraid she'd get into someplace she shouldn't (like under the dishwasher.LOL) When we're home she can go all over (usually following Misha)....and I keep an eye on her most of the time so she's ok.

I am sure you'll do just wonderful with your new furbaby!
