Update on Oscar's Visit to the Vet

Well, Oscar went to the vet on Monday to be neutered, and the vet called me back about 2 hrs. later only to tell me that he had already been neutered! I was pretty embarrassed, but she said it happens more often than you think. He was left on my friend's doorstep along with his brother, and the vet said that perhaps he was in a shelter, neutered there, adopted and then let go...I guess that is possible. We still don't have an exact age, but she guessed anywhere from 6-12 months, and he's over 11 lbs. He had some bloodwork (all normal), as well as a booster (don't remember what for right now) and rabies as well...I'm so glad he's healthy!

Wow! That was a nice surprise! One of my ferals (died last xmas of leukemia) went tomcating right into the vets barn, the vet lives down the highway, the cat BooBoo got trapped, neutered, returned to the barn, came home and I thanked the vet for the free neuter!!! I miss Booboo. He was a striped tabby, looked like a little bear. It took me 8 mos. to be able to pet him. Donna
