I was just curious what kind of litter boxes everyone prefers. Do you use the standard kind, the high sided kind, one with a cover, or one of those automatic cleaning kinds?

We had a high sided one (with the lid removed) for Misha. I wanted to see if her blood was still in the urine, which is hard to do with clumping litter, and yet she obliged me by urinating standing up....and it going over the side of the box tonight. I can't be upset (it got on some of her toy mice....darn!), and I'm actually glad because when I cleaned it up I could see normal urine....NO BLOOD! I am so happy the antibiotics seem to be working! YIPPEE!!!

Dh is bugging me to put the lid on the box now so she can't go over the side. I'm not real thrilled with lids....sigh.

I look forward to hearing your litter box stories...(.giggle! ) and why you use a particular type of box and you can even mention the litter you prefer. I love suggestions.

Off to sleep at last....

The only problem I had with the real large one is it was sometimes hard to find the bags that fit and also more $$ for them. Hope all is well!

Wow....that's awesome! If it works, that's all that matters. I'm glad your furbabies get along so well!

Do you have pictures posted anywhere of your babies?

What a wonderful furmom you were to sweet ^Pudd^! It can be difficult with arthritis to get in those high boxes. I'm so glad there are so many different kinds of boxes to accomodate different kitties & different situations.

I'm glad to hear it! Your DD is great helping with the scooping. Give those kitties a snuggle from me!

I imagine that would be the case. Where do you find them most often? My mom used to use them when my ^Missy^ used to stay with her (when I lived overseas).

Things are doing pretty good this morning....Misha was hungry at 5:30 (argh!) this morning. I fed her and then gave her her pill at 6 (she fought me but I finally got it down). She's been sleeping on our bed and then going for silly fast runs around the house & back! She's so funny. :-)

Now the other cats are upstairs and the hissing has once again commenced. I wish things would settle down. Sigh.

Hugs,

Suzy

Your furbabies are soooo cute! I see Penelope is a beautiful part Siamese! Gorgeous eyes!

Dane & Ozzy look a little like my Boots & Thomie. Do all your kitties get along well? I sure wish my 3 would accept our new furbaby.

Thanks for sharing your creative boxes.

those crazy runs around the house, how I miss them. I used to get them at Target, kmart ete. but you really have to check the box and make sure you get the xtra large ones or they do not fit. I think they are "36 inches??? Off to swim

Evening Jane!

Thanks for sharing Misty & Misha's story. I have heard that you should have one extra box....it was my dh that was too lazy to clean the extra one I had bought, so we went back to just one for each cat. I think now that I'm doing all the scooping, that I will set up the extra one again.

My Misha is eating like our Patches. LOL I can't keep her full. What a change from before when she wouldn't eat. She's had another 5/8 cup today and she would eat more if I would let her. Giggle! I've got the alarm set to get up at 6am again to give her her pill. Another week of this.....sigh.

Sweet Dreams!

Hi Chris!

I hope you had a nice swim. Thanks for the info.

Misha had another of her "night crazies" runs. LOL Now she's ready to snuggle up & sleep.

Talk to you tomorrow!
