Hi! I'm Lisa and in November we got a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. His name is Roscoe and I may have posted here a few times but he has taken so much energy I just couldn't commit to being part of a dog community!

But I'm really looking forward to input & advice from other dog owners.

Roscoe has gone from being a complete PITA, to winning my heart. It took some time. I cannot believe how difficult it was to live with a new puppy. He's far from perfect now but he's wonderful and I'm even starting to think of him like a kid.

Anyone else have a SCWT? Or just a terrier for that matter? He's very energetic and somewhat overwhelming for our 2 kids ages 18mo & 3.5yrs.

Of course you can join our board! A most warm welcome to you, Roscoe and your children. BTW, I thought I was the only person who used PITA, I use it for alot of things.

I am Jenny, one of the cl's on this board. I have two dogs, sweet Casey Marie, almost 13 years old and Eddy (or Dammit Eddy as he is affectionately referred to on this board) who is 2.5. He is a complete and total PITA but he has grown on me like a fungus and now I adore him most of the time.

I also have a daughter who is 4.5.

I don't know off hand if any of our regular posters of a SCWT but there are plenty of terriers and terrier mixes around this community.

Please post again soon and share with us your funniest Roscoe story. We love to hear stories and everybody loves to laugh!

Love and laughter,

Welcome to the Dogs Board Lisa and Roscoe!!! I'm so glad that you've decided to join us on this fun and informative Board. PITA...LOL...describes my Ylab, Valentine to a T.... But, you "do" grow to love them so much...as all of our members here can attest.

A friend of mine from work once had a SCWT..and he told me that he was just one of the "best" dogs he ever had. The one good thing is that their fur is more like hair, so the shedding isn't as bad as with most dogs.

I do hope you will join in often and please tell us more about you and your furkid.
