I just had surgery yesterday and due to its nature, I am unable to physically care for my pets. Particularly my chow/husky Rolyx. My friend agreed to take him and we knew it was going to be rough but day two and she is all ready getting frustrated and saying she is going to keep him crated all the time. I really can't blame her but part of me is frustrated because this will cause pent up behavior issues....I admit he's a pain in the ass, but I worked real hard on his separation anxiety and horrible behaviors that I have to stay on top of constantly. Now he is poop and pee marking on her new carpet, whining and fighting with her dog. I can't expect her to toss her own dog to the side, but I am terrified and upset to what I am going to get back. I can not take him back yet...tho I am considering trying somehow. I can't afford to kennel him either... I just don't know what to do...I rly shouldn't take him back for near a month, but I don't want him deprived either. Please help.

I'm so sorry.....and I hope you feel better soon.

I would look into a pet sitter...someone that will come to your home and care for Rolyx.  They usually take an hourly charge which would be far less than kenneling him.  This way he would be in his own homek, which would help with his frustration....and he would be with you even though you can't walk or feed him.  This person would come, feed him, walk him....and do whatever else you ask.  I think that might be a better solution than having him kenneled all day.
