What kind of food do you feed your dog - dry, canned, homemade?

I've been feeding my dogs Nutro Natural Choice for years.  I originally bought it because it was low in purines (protein) because when I first got ^Samantha^ I was told that dalmatians need a low protein diet.  My dogs have all been happy with it.  Now I feed Cleo the lite version because she had some weight issues a while ago...and the vet recommended I just keep her on the lite formula.

I only feed my dogs dry dog food.  When Samantha was having her health issues I would mix in some canned just to tempt her....but otherwise it's all dry.

Do you feed it dry or add water? Someone told me dry food could cause bloat. I don't know if that's true or not, but I started adding water, and my dog almost always waits until it's all soaked up to eat it.

I've never added water to my dogs' food.  I've also never heard that dry food can cause bloat...but that doesn't mean it can't.

I've always heard that bloat can be caused if an animal eats too quickly because air gets into their stomach and can cause bloat.  Although I've read of dogs that weren't even eating but had an attack.

I feed my Chihuahuas Science Diet Light Little Bites they love it. I do not put water in their dog food and they only like it dry.

I always say....if they like it, and eat it then it's fine....LOL....  I feed my dog Nutro Natural Choice; not the very best and not the worst...and she loves it....so i'm happy.

A few months ago Cleo seemed to be having some skin issues, so I switched her to Blue Buffalo.  She ate it, but I knew she didn't really like it.  So I started giving her Fish Oil tablets in her food and her skin improved...so went back to Nutro.
