My dog, Luna (3), threw up about 6 times today (5-19) in the span of 2 hours. I immediately took her to the vet, where they informed me that she probably had pancreatitis. He said her level of amylase was normal but her lipase was double what the normal should be. When asked how did she get pancreatitis the vet said it was something she ate within the last 12 hours. I can't imagine what she could have gotten to that caused this. She doesn't get into the garbage or steal food from plates and my floors are pretty clean, so I don't think she found something. On that note, I asked if it could have been a medication that I stopped giving her on Monday (5-14) Rimadyl (anti-inflammatory for a leg injury, which is a whole other story). She had been taking it for 6 days, but on the last day she started throwing up and became lethargic. She's been perfectly fine since then, except for today. I guess I just want to know if the medication could have caused this or what else could have. Thanks for any advice, it's greatly appreciated!
