Hoping to get some advice here. I would like to start taking Daisy to our second home in Florida which is a 3-hour plain ride. Although she was crate trained as a puppy and will still occasionally go in her crate (we don't really use it), I CANNOT get her into her travel crate. I've tried treats, games, forcing.....nothing works. I'm thinking of sedating her (with my vets approval) but I really don't want to. HELP!!

We've flown with two of our dogs before in the cabin and I would recommend a soft Sherpa bag for flying. It's soft-sided, is comfortable for our dogs and you unzip the entire top so you can just set Daisy in the bag and then zip it closed on top of her. We have other carriers and a crate we use for other situations, but the Sherpa bags are the best for air travel. You also need to be able to take the dog out when going through security, so the easy-in-easy-out helps there, as well.

Ours are black, but here's a basic one and you can see that it zips to open in the front, and zips on top to open from above:

That's actually the same bag I have (in black)! I have been trying to get her to walk in from the front. Good tip to place her in from the top. I'll give it a try. Thanks.
