Treats from out of the USA

I keep seeing all these ads on t.v. telling us about the latest dog treats. I didn't used to check the labels, I'll be honest, but now I just will not buy anything that does NOT say MADE in the USA. Saying "distributed by XXX company in Denver" does not mean it's MADE here, many don't seem to say where they really are produced. The Milo's Kitchen treats ads really get me steamed - they make it sound like Grandma just made them in her kitchen - the label says they come from China, as I recall, and from China - nothing comes thru our door, I don't want my dogs ingesting melamine, thanks. I won"t get started on rawhide, it can kill your pet in more than one waym but it's banned here.
Think I might just spoil our two even more and make them some healthy treats for Xmas. Anyone have some really simple recipes? Hope all your furbabies get equally spoiled - they do love those cookies...and more cookies.
