It has really been unusually cold the past week...we had snow and ice a few days ago that is still hanging around.  This morning it was 8 degrees!!  The last couple of days when I put Cleo out she does not want to walk around and stay out in the yard...she hasn't even tried to eat the birdseed which is unusual for her....LOL...

Since she's mostly lab I find this unusual.  My Ylab ^Valentine^ loved the cold weather and the snow....

I have a part pit/lab/german shep/golden ret/greyhound/mutt who only goes out WHEN it snows, lol. Well, goes out willingly. Any other time she has to be forced out or you have to go out with her.

Dogs are so funny!!  My late dalmatian ^Samantha^ was such a diva.  When it was too cold, snowy, icy, or even too hot she would stand on the deck outside our glass sliding door with one paw up to show us that she was uncomfortable....LOL....

It's been very snowy and ccold for a couple weeks now.  Big news:  we made double digits on temp...  14 degrees!  Latest snowfall for the season so far is 75".  There's still about 15-18" on the ground.  Brownie has a sweater that I put on her (stylin'!) and she runs down the path she blazed about 8 feet from the door, then runs over by the garage on the other path if she has to poop, and is back at the door in about 90 seconds flat!  No snow today, but it will kick in again tomorrow.  If you look at a US weather map, there's always a blue circle of lake effect snow on the southeast shore of Lake Michigan.  Lucky us...

Oh say, can you see?

It's been horribly cold and snowy here as well recently.  Fiona kind of loves the snow and kind of hates it.  I think when she runs and plays in it, she's mainly trying to kill it.  :)  She is a big baby about the cold though, even though we dress her in a fleece AND a heavy jacket overneath!

Except for a few exceptional years, we usually get an inch or so of snow that quickly melts.  These past couple of weeks have been an exception....we got a couple of inches of snow last Tuesday/Wednesday but the weather remained so cold that the roads were terrible for days.  Now this week here in Williamsburg we got about 5 inches and Virginia Beach got almost a foot!!  My studio down there was closed yesterday and this morning.

But the snow was lighter and easier to shovel this week...the roads are still bad.  It was very cold last evening...when DH left this morning it was minus 2.  But the next few days are supposed to climb into the 50's so a lot of this will melt.

As for Cleo....when I put her out in the yard she walks around for a couple of minutes...does her business...and then wants back inside.  Yesterday DH and I closed the Studio so he was home...he walked her and then that was it for her for the rest of the day....LOL....
