I found a golf ball sized tumor on our lab/shephard mix last night, he has an appointment with the vet this afternoon :(  He's about 9, so we are getting to the age that he's going to start having issues, especially because he is a very large dog.

Any advice on what the vet will do at his appt?

Oh {{{Melissa}}}...I'm so sorry I didn't see this sooner!!  What did the vet say?

My dalmatian ^Samantha^ had problems with tumors; luckily they were fatty tumors. But through the years we did have some removed as they got really large.  Once she turned about 13YO (she passed away at 16) we stopped having them removed.  She had a really large one on her side for many years but the vet said to just leave it alone.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your dear puppy....please let us know what you find out.
