How are you? The board looks mighty empty and that makes me sad. Whatever happened to all of the CLs that used to be on the pet boards? Hope you're doing well.

Hi *C*....how are you doing?

Yes...it is very sad.  I decided to hang on just in case someone visited looking for advice....but everyone else decided to leave after the last "computer" debacle.  It was getting way too hard to access the boards so many people just decided to post on other media.

I still have Dogs and Puppies and this board...but many of the others have merged or closed.  I love Wildlife Watching so I put it on here...and even my Dogs and Puppies board is mostly "dead".  But I check on both boards every day just in case.

I had hoped that maybe some people would come back but I think they just find it too difficult to post.  I haven't had a problem in a while but I think others just got fed up.

It's great to see you here...for the very few posters I still have I won't give up...until the Mods tell me they no longer need me.

Many hugs and good thoughts coming your way.

My one board is dying, as well. I'm glad you're still here - I love seeing familiar names. I really believe that there won't be any message boards at iVillage in the near future. If we could just go back to the way it used to be.... I can remember having 7 boards at one time and I could hardly keep up. iVillage was where I could be found - certainly not Facebook. We made some lifelong friends here at iVillage without having met many of them. iVillage CLs were like family and we grew close to our boardies, as well. Many of the CMs have left, also. I was recently diagnosed with RA and Lupus. I'm on strong pain meds and being looked after by a rheumatologist. My mother has Alzeimers and we (dh and myself) care for her. So, right now, life is a bummer, but hey, you have to do what you have to do. I'll be back, Laura, if nothing more than to say hello. NOW - how are you doing?

We own a couple of fitness Studios in Virginia...business hasn't been great the last couple of years but we're hanging in.  Our franchise agreement was up in Williamsburg, so we've kept the Studio open as our own.  The one in Virginia Beach hasn't done well either, so we put it on the market.  If it sells, fine; hopefully we'll just get our money back.  For now, it's business as usual.  But stressful, especially with the commuting back and forth.

My health is fine...but I'm having a bit of trouble with my eyesight.  My eyes have always been bad...but now I was told that I might be at risk for glaucoma.  But I'm not panicking about it.

My mother is now 94YO and still lives alone...but my sister and I have now gotten a woman to come in as a companion.  My sister lives right next door to her, but she works.  Hopefully in a couple of months my mother will move into an apartment in my sister's house; she'll still have her companion but will be even closer.

That's about it...I hope you will take time to visit.  Like I said...I'm just trying to keep my boards open day to day.
