Hi Laura, I am a single woman and work full time with the elderly, I was thinking of getting a tea cup poodle and take her to work with me everyday. I know nothing about them except for what I have looked up on the internet. Can you give me any advice. Thanks

Also, do your research on breeders you are considering very carefully. "Teacup" is more of a marketing description rather than a true breed type, and many of these poor animals are bred with an eye to size without regard to health. I got my dog from a yorkie and small dog rescue, and they have had some bad experiences with teacup yorkies. Teacup dogs that are much smaller than the original breed standard often have neurological issues or hypoglycemia problems. I would encourage you to consider a naturally small breed or look for a hearty mixed breed rescue that happens to be small.
