About 4 months ago, our 1.5 year old dog was diagnosed with epilepsy after a cluster of 13 seizures. Since the initial episode, he has been having on average 1 (smaller) cluster a week of 2-5 seizures. His medication has been adjusted several times for weight/dosage, new ones have been added. I can safely saythat this is not looking to be an easily controlled case of canine epilepsy.
We have 3 children between the ages of 8 and 5 in our home, and a new baby due in early summer. The seizures have been extremely traumatizing to the children.
