I seem to be having a sudden problem with mice in my kitchen and I don't know where they are coming from or how they are getting in. I'm not sure what to do about them or who to call. Is there some type of mouse elimination service?

Hi Brenda....I have the same problem on occasion.  I have a pest control service come in quarterly to spray my home inside and out since I live in a very rural area.  Actually the mice come in from my garage, or so the exterminator thinks.  He placed bait in my garage and that seems to have stopped the problem.  Each time he comes he checks the bait and refills if necessary

Usually if you see evidence of mice in one room...they may not be coming in from that room.  A few months ago I saw droppings in my master bath....and caught the mouse in the kitchen.  So you never know.  But any pet control company can check out your house, give you advice and take care of the problem.

Good luck.

What gazebo said!

Also being rural, we have a similar mouse problem and even with three cats, we get the odd mouse. They can get in through the smallest holes you don't even know are there!

We store potential mouse "food" (dry pet food, bird seed, and the like) in mouse-proof containers becasue they seem to be attracted to the food supply, especially in spring when they are coming out of hibernation, have litters of babies, and there is no food out there to eat... We don't use bait becasue of the cats, so we live with the mice and just hope our lazy furballs will keep the population at a minimum...
