Almost had a heart attack this afternoon.

I was driving up the drive way to my apartment building and saw a calico cat running up the driveway.  My heart went into overdrive as that kitty looked like my Misha.  I slowly drove up my driveway keeping a careful lookout for that calico kitty.  My rapidly beating heart was in my throat as I parked my car, ran into my aparment at full speed to grab Misha's treat bag to attract her and nab her and get her back in again and wondering how she managed to get out.  When I got into my apartment my Misha was curled up on the sofa and looking at me wondering why I was breathing so hard.

Is it any wonder why I am paranoid about either of my two miscreants getting outside.  Before going out, I do a head count, check the windows to make sure they are not open wide enough for either of them to get through the screens.  Before I lock my apartment door, I check the hallway to make sure that there is not a kitty outside.

YIKES!  It took quite a few minutes for me to calm down after seeing my Misha on the sofa and whispered a prayer of thanksgiving that both Sammy and Misha were safe and sound in my apartment.

Oh Patrick that is so scary and I know how you feel.  One day we were backing out of the driveway and I saw who I thought was Misha on the lawn.  I jumped out of the car and the kitty took off to the neighbours.  I looked over at our front window and Misha was sitting in his bed looking out.  What a sigh of relief.  That was when we first moved here and I didn't know our neighbour had a clone of our Misha.  He often sits on our lawn at night still and looks at Misha.

I'm so glad your Misha was all cuddled up on your sofa and all was well.

Kisses to your little calico princess.

LOL.   I did the something with Kitty Girl... But I grabbed the cat and brought it home with me...just to find kitty setting on the window edge.  Oooops.  So I drove Kitty's look alike back to where I found her..

I'm sure it scared the bejesus out of you... And the kids had a good laugh at you expense

I can't tell you how relieved I was to find both Misha and Sammy safe and sound in my apartment.  I did get a good look at that other cat and it looked pretty healthy to me and I was thinking it may have got out from someone's home.

It is frightening when one of our indoor kitties get outside.  That is my greatest fear living in an apartment as neither Sammy nor Misha has ever been outside and it would be so hard for either one of them to find their way back home.  It was such a great relief to get inside my apartment and see my calico girl cuddled up on the sofa.

Yes, indeed, it scared the bejesus out of me.  Those look-alike kitties that we see should be kept indoors where they are safe and sound and prevents us from going into cardiac arrest or grabbing someone else's kitty in our fear.

All the best

I know the panic that you felt.  I'm so glad that the calico wasn't Misha and she was still in your apartment.  That is sure scary when our furkids get out or we thing they have.
