UW-Madison Research Animal Resource Director Eric Sandgren responded in a statement that the U.S. Department of Agriculture investigated PETA's charges last fall and found no violations.

This goes to show you WHY we have so many puppy and cat mills...USDA only thinks in live stock...not in beloved pets.

They have to change the laws and not have them under agriculture livestock.  I didn't think animal abuse in research was happening like that today with everyone so aware.  All beauty products state that "animals were not used in this research or production".  Most everyone is against it.

Good for James Cromwell.

That just makes me sick.  I'm glad that James Cromwell found out and made it public.  The USDA needs that law changed. I don't know what they are thinking, but it's gotta go.
