I hope that the doctor is right and the bones are fusing.  I wonder why it's taking so long?  I thought these surgeries were so much better and easier now days.  I guess you had better keep your foot up more so you can heal and get out of that shoe.

I think that you would have healed better if you weren't working and could just sit around and rest.  I guess you could try keeping it elevated everytime you sit down.  It is better to keep the boot on another month than to have problems in the long run as depressing as it is.

You should maybe eat more yogurt, sardines and drink more milk.  Have you ever had a bone density done?  They usually check after you gotten into menopause.

I had my first bone density when I started menopause.  When you had your knee surgery it was cartilage and ligaments that needed to heal but with your foot it is your bone that is not bonding.

If you drink a lot of milk and take calcium then you should be alright and it just needs more time.  It could be because it was done twice too.

I had my first bone density test when i was 50 i think.  I had two only a few yrs apart to be able to compare n see how it was.  Turned out i am losin, my dr told me to start takin calcium vitamins, which i have been doin.  I also try to work out w/weights 3 times a week as weight bearing exercise is supposed to help.  Plus i keep tryin to cut out soda as it has been said to leach calcium from your bones.  It is hard to keep eatin right and do the right thing for your health.

Mary it is the dark coloured sodas that have phosphoric acid in them that are not good for women.  You can drink the non-cola ones though.  I drink gingerale when I drink pop.

It doesn't seem to bother mens calcium level.  Of course they get a pass on everything. LOL

Weights are good for that.  My dr told me when I was complaining about gaining on my hips that big hips were better for the bones.  I guess it is the extra weight on them.  LOL

So big hips is a good thing....then i'm all good....LOL!!!!
