Good Sunday morning everyone

What's everyone up to today?  How's everyone's pets?

It finally stopped raining so I have a few things to do outside today.  My mom gave me two tomato plants that are huge and need to be planted, but my garden is so muddy and it's way too early to plant tomatoes so I'm not sure what to do with them.  It's supposed to be in the low 70's all week next week, but too chilly at night for them.  I may have to rig up something to put around them to keep the heat in so they don't freeze to death.  I bought some annuals the other day and need to pot them up and of course mow the lawn.  I dug weeds all afternoon yesterday.  I have more laundry to do today and vacuum upstairs.

My pets are all doing good.  The dogs are shedding like crazy.  The horses' shedding brush works really good on them.  I brushed them both good yesterday and going to trim thier nails today and do more brushing.  It's never ending this time of the year.  The horses are just about all shed out and are looking good.  They are getting fat from eating the spring grass.

Have a nice Sunday everyone!

Well it sounds like you have lots to keep you busy with the gardening and all the Spring shedding.

You sure are having nice day time temperatures.  I guess everything must be nice and green where you are now with the rain and the warmer temperatures.

Kisses to Trouble and all your fur crew.

It was bitter cold here yesterday with the strong winds.  The temp will start going up today starting at the 40's today then 60's staying after tomorrow so maybe Spring is actually here.

Yes I have enough to keep me busy today.  The sun hasn't come out yet, but they say it will sometime today.  I was out yesterday and all of the pastures are bright green and looks so pretty.  If it gets as warm as they say it will next week the grass will really grow now that it's been well watered.  lol

Gosh I didn't realize that you are still in winter there.  I guess there is quite a difference between there and PD.  PD seemed to have about the same temps that we have most of the time.  I hope that you will warm up and finally get spring.

I'll pass on your kisses to my fur crew for you.  Kisses to M&M.

My goodness, you sure have alot to keep you busy Leslie!!!  Those tomato plants, have you ever heard of wall o waters??  It is plastic, a 5 gal bucket will fit inside one, you fill up the ....uuggghhhh....this isn't easy to explain....but they might do the trick for your plants.  Would keep them from freezing.  I have some n they work great!!!  Try this link.....  I found some at Home Depot a couple yrs ago.

Everyone here is doin well.  I worked for 3.5 hrs this am, then came home n cleaned the house a bit.  Went outside n spent most of the afternoon rakin the yard.  We have a black walnut tree that sheds those small sticks all the time.  Pine needles n pine cones galore....i raked most of the afternoon, just quit a half hr ago n there is still lots to rake.  There is a back corner that i got most of the way done.  The other corner is gonna take lotsa work as it has vines growing up the fence n up the trees.  I pulled alot of those up, raked needles n pine cones.....gonna take a while to get this yard in shape.  I got a good start today.  I made a fire in the pit n burned it all.  I took a lawn chair out there for breaks.  Had a few of the babies out there.  WHEW!!!

I did get started last week on brushin the babies.  I got most of them done.  Still haven't touched Millie.  Got to finish Teika, i did trim her feet n nails, but didn't get her completely brushed out.  I got everyone else done tho they could use brushin again.....  Gonna give Fiona a bath, she needs it.  I like her to be clean, she's my princess.  Gotta finish them sooner or later.

Tuesday i gotta drive bro in to the dr in chicago.  We had an appt for checkup, but he told me friday nite that he has been havin lotsa pain again.  Luckily we have a few pain pills left.  I am glad we have the appt so the dr can check things out.

Whew.....down for the nite!!!  Nighty nighty everyone!!!

Cold, it has been cold here for a couple days.  It did warm up a bit today, but it was down to freezing on friday.  Was SNOWING!!!  Kind of goin sideways as it was so windy too.  After i got done workin n got my friends dog n came home, i didn't go out except to get my paycheck!!  Shoulda gone to workout, but the cold was so bitter!!  It did warm up today a bit, the sun was out all day, so nice to see!!

How is Misha today??  How about Misty, what's she been up to??  Did you get the kitchen all straightened out n put away yet??  I got the table in n have decided i'm gonna sand it a bit n refinish the top.  Wayne made some marks on it n i'd like it to be a bit smoother.  Shouldn't be too hard after all of what i did in the house....lol!!

It was a crazy and emotional week since the marathon bombing as I live in the Boston sub-berbs and work in Boston. Thankful that everyone I know is fine.

Yes I have heard of the Wall O Water, but don't have any.  I was thinking about those for my 2 tomato plants and will buy some this week.  I decided to leave my tomato plants in until I can get them.  I could have rigged something up, but decided the wall o water would be the best.

It sounds like you had and still have a lot of yard work to do.  I'm sure that you will get your yard cleaned up eventually.  It sounds like it was pretty neglected.  Does the black walnut tree have nuts on it?  Those are pretty rare from what I know.  We have 3 English walnut trees.

That's too bad that your bro is having pain again.  I hope it's nothing serious going on with your bro.  That's good that your bro has some pain meds to take.
